Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Claiborne County Released Inmates and its links to public sources and outside tools. Using the site means accepting these conditions and the limits stated below.

This privately owned site is not tied to Claiborne County, any sheriff, jail, corrections department, or government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers consumer reports or FCRA-covered services for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of This Site

This is a private reference resource with no government authority. It stores no official jail, release, corrections, or court record. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a document, or change an agency record.

Pages point toward official sources such as the Claiborne County Sheriff, the MDOC inmate search, and the Claiborne Circuit Court access route. They may also connect visitors to independent research tools.

Acceptable Use

Access is permitted only for lawful, responsible use. A visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any applicable law
  • Stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt access without authorization
  • Run automated bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools
  • Interfere with service for other visitors

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither the site nor an advertising partner provides screening services here. A visitor agrees not to use any information for:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Links Beyond Our Control

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, release records, government portals, legal resources, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control a destination's content, privacy practices, terms, prices, security, availability, or data handling. Review that site's rules before using it.

No Warranties

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise:

  • That information is accurate, complete, or current
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability
  • Freedom from errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • Complete or useful results from any partner tool

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Claiborne County Sheriff, MDOC, a court, or another government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Mississippi and other applicable law permit, the site, its owners, and its service providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, reliance, inability to use the site, or use of an outside link.

Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its owners, and service providers harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from that user's conduct, misuse of information, violation of law, or breach of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless a source is separately identified, site text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Claiborne County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Changes take effect when the updated terms are posted. Continued use after posting means the visitor accepts the current version.

Ending or Limiting Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. This right does not create a duty to monitor every user or submission.

Mississippi Governing Law

Mississippi law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction within Mississippi.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable where allowed.
